			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p><img class="alignnone size-full wp-image-81" title="walking-the-stairs" src="http://healthy-journey.com/wp-content/uploads/walking-the-stairs.jpg" alt="" width="200" height="200" />In our busy lives it&#8217;s often difficult to find the time, and energy, to exercise.  I chase my kids all around the house, schoolwork, meetings, soccer practices — it&#8217;s never ending and there never seems to be time to go to the gym.  But there are ways you can work a little exercise into your day by just changing your habits.  Here are some ideas.</p>
<p><strong>1.  If you take the train/subway, bypass the escalators.</strong>  Walking up/down those steps twice a day — you&#8217;ll feel it in your thighs and calves.</p>

Chances are you&#8217;re not thinking about hitting the gym to squeeze in a workout. Life is busy and for many of us it&#8217;s hard to find time for a trip to the gym. Unfortunately, being busy doesn&#8217;t let you off the hook for being active. Even if you can&#8217;t schedule regular fitness into your routine, you can still <em>fit more physical activity into your day</em>.</p>
<p>Exercise improves your overall health. Exercise keeps you at a healthy weight, strengthens your muscles, and lowers your risk of disease. You are improving your lifestyle and quality of life when you add physical activity to your day.</p>

I needed to start small in order to succeed. In fact, even now, almost a year later I continue to make small changes. And, looking at my life today, it&#8217;s amazing how those simple steps added up to monumental differences.<br />
The smallest (and slowest) changes I made were in regard to fitness.
